Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Safety).
Knowledge and/or Experience
- 6 years’ experience in loss prevention and industrial safety in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with special emphasis on process safety, and risk assessment/studies.
- Experience in leading hazard identification reviews utilizing recognized techniques (e.g., HAZOP, What-If, etc.) with a good understanding of both qualitative and quantitative risk assessment techniques.
- Practical knowledge of safe systems of work is essential with Emergency Preparedness knowledge/experience.
Ability to read and communicate engineering drawings/documents.
Technical and Business Skills
- Ability to work under tight timelines in sometimes high-pressure situations.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, hazard identification software (e.g., PHAPro), consequence modelling software (e.g., PHAST), or other software (e.g., BowTie).
- Very good knowledge or written and spoken English with ability to produce procedures, technical reports, and present them to various level of audience.
- Requires analytical, interpretative and constructive thinking skills.
